Remediation & Tasks

The Remediation & Tasks feature enhances your ability to manage cybersecurity issues effectively by providing a structured Task Management Workflow. This helps you stay on top of internal and vendor-related risks, ensuring security concerns are addressed promptly.

With the Vendor Risk Management feature, you can create tasks to track internal issues and assign tasks to vendors, promoting accountability and timely resolution. There are three main types of tasks you can create:

1. General Tasks

General Tasks are the most basic and flexible type of task. They help track any internal issues or questions your company needs to address.

How to Create a General Task:

1. Navigate to the Remediation & Tasks menu item.
2. Click on the Plus General Task blue button.
3. Add the necessary details.
4. Click Create.

This section also includes chat functionality for collaboration, ensuring secure communication.

If you switch to the Vendors tab, you can review tasks assigned to your vendors.

1. Cyber Scan Issue Tasks

Cyber Scan Issue Tasks help you track security risks identified in scan results. These tasks can be assigned to your internal team or vendors.

How to Create a Cyber Scan Issue Task:

1. Navigate to the Risk Categories menu item.
2. Open a category that has identified issues.
3. For each issue, create a task including specific details about the detected risk.
4. Add the necessary details.
5. Click Create.

1. Questionnaire Risk Tasks

Questionnaire Risk Tasks address risks identified in questionnaire responses. These tasks can be assigned internally or to vendors.

How to Create a Questionnaire Risk Task:

• For Internal Risks:
  1. Go to the Questionnaires menu item.
  2. Click on Identified Risks to view risks highlighted from completed questionnaires.
  3. Create a task for each identified risk.
• For Vendor Risks:

1. Navigate to the Assessment Manager.
2. Open a questionnaire from the list.
3. Click on Identified Risks to review the detected risks.
4. If the risk is acceptable, click Accept Risk. Otherwise, create a task for the vendor.

All tasks come with the following functionalities:

• Status tracking
• Setting a due date
• Assigning a priority level
• User assignment (A vendor task requires a contact in the vendor's organization.)
• Adding a description
• Chat functionality for secure collaboration

For Vendors

If your company does not have the Vendor Risk Management feature—such as if you are a vendor—your Remediation & Tasks section will display tasks assigned to you by our client.
